The Capital Grille is a popular American restaurant chain of upscale steakhouses. It is operated by Darden Restaurants.  Initially, the brand has branches in twenty states and the District of Columbia.

In May 2019, there were 59 branches in different locations.

In 2013, the Capital Grille located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania was open for Thanksgiving.  It happens for the first-ever time in its entire history. The Capital Grille had also locations in Washington, D.C., and Boston.

In 1997, it collects aids of $20 million credit line from two banks, as it expanded with four more locations.

According to The Washington Business Journal, the chain was part of a $1.19 billion acquisition of RARE Hospitality in 2007.

Rare Hospitality International and Darden Restaurants are known as their parent restaurants.

The Capital Grille works under the Specialty Restaurant Group division of Darden.
